Summer Walk in Hallow
This month's summer walk, led by Robert Leather, took place on a glorious sunny evening on Tuesday 15 June 2010. It began in the village of Hallow, a small community to the north west of Worcester, where ten people gathered before setting off towards the centre of the village. Just off Hallow Green, the group headed down hill through woods following a stepped path leading to the River Severn. The route then followed the river upstream through water meadows and across styles to Camp House Inn on the banks of the river. At this point, the group headed back up a track to return to the village. Rachel Leather provided hot drinks and homemade scones with fresh cream and strawberry jam in the garden of her home to finish off the evening. Thanks go to Robert and his daughter Rachel for the arrangements and hospitality. Another walk will take place on the third Tuesday of July.
