Most Sundays in the year, the Junior Church meets for their own time of fellowship after spending a short time in the morning service. The group of children range from 4 to 11 and activities are selected with this age-group in mind. A typical session begins with a game or two before the children focus on a particular theme or story in the bible and then take part in a creative or dramatic activity developing what they have been looking at.
At the start of the church year each member of Junior Church is presented with a book or a bible. The children usually take part in the annual Carol service either singing or reading and on the last Saturday before Christmas they enjoy the Christingle Service in the Sanctuary at St Andrews, preparing the Christingles immediately before the service. Their annual summer treat involves an ice-cream hunt along the River Severn!
